Spring Working Bee

On October 12th, a busy team of Ashburton Community gardeners rolled up their sleeves and got to work on some important communal tasks in the garden.

Some of the jobs we worked on were: cleaning the tools, weeding the paths and communal garden bed, cleaning up the gum leaves behind the shelter, and netting the fruit trees.

The shed had a huge cleanout and was nicely reorganised.

Our working bees are essential for keeping our garden cared for, and it’s a great chance for a cuppa and a catch up too! Thanks to David Ashton for being the barbeque master!
